Ready to Make a Choice?

I have long believed that one of the more difficult parts of any project is getting started. It is easy to either look for excuses not to begin, or find something else to do instead. In this case, the project to which I am referring is becoming healthier. I would like to share, what I believe, are some of the benefits of improving your health. If you have not already started, I want to encourage you to begin.

Whenever we lack good health, it frequently becomes the center of our attention. For example, it is hard to ignore a flu or cold, fatigue or tension, or excess weight. Perhaps you are plagued by an over-abundance of gas in which not only you are aware of it, but those around you are, too. These conditions are symptoms that all is not well. It is as if your body is saying, "Yoo-hoo! May I have your attention, please?" Would it be nice to get your body into a condition in which you can be in control of it, instead of the other way around?

Life is a very precious gift! Each day, I learn a little more about how to enjoy mine, but it is challenging, due to lessons I am facing. However, the physical health I am experiencing is so much better compared to a few years ago. I can now concentrate more on other areas, such as my spiritual life. With a little maintenance each day, my body is achieving an optimum condition so that I no longer need to be constantly reminded about how it is feeling. I am far from being done, but I have come a long way. I wish that others could have the opportunity to take care of themselves, too.

It takes some work to improve your health from a nutritional point-of-view. The first step is a decision to begin, and the next step is a decision to "hang in there." Once we identify your particular nutritional needs, it may require a significant modification to your daily routine. Sure, you may need to be more selective about what you eat, but think about how much better your body will feel!

Perhaps you have given up trying to get healthier, or perhaps you have just become a little too good at coping with your situation. If this is the case, I want to say, "Please... Try again!" If you are already on a personal program toward better physical health, I congratulate you. I hope I am inspiring you to feel better about what you are doing for yourself.

When our body is healthy, it does not demand a lot of attention from us. A healthier body can also allow us to experience less tension, fatigue, and maybe even depression. We may feel more energetic, positive, and really alive! This enables us to have a better opportunity to enjoy many of the wonderful benefits life has to offer. It all begins with a choice!
