Red Raspberry
There’s More to this Plant Than Fruit

A rich source of vitamin C, Red Raspberry also contains significant amounts of iron, calcium, phosphorus, manganese, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamins D, G, and F. Red raspberry is one of the most popular tonics for women today and is commonly used during and after pregnancy. Red raspberry is beneficial in normalizing blood flow during menstruation and reducing painful menstrual cramps. Red raspberry supports the reproductive system, especially during pregnancy, by strengthening the tissues of the womb, increasing lactation and easing nausea caused by morning sickness.

Red raspberry's astringent properties make it helpful in relieving diarrhea and its antiseptic properties make it beneficial for treating sore throats and canker sores.

  • Supports the female glandular system in a variety of ways.
  • Promotes balance throughout the digestive tract.
  • Helps strengthen the uterus.

How Does it Work?
Red raspberry leaves contain high levels of tannins and fruit acids making this herb a popular astringent. Astringents tighten and tone tissues. As such, this herb supports the body during heavy menstrual bleeding, diarrhea, flu or vomiting. Red raspberry leaves are also considered antispasmodic. Historically this herb was used for acid indigestion, childbirth, diarrhea, for the prevention of miscarriages, for morning sickness and as a general support during pregnancy.
