Red clover is a common purple flower that grows in fields all across America. Red clover is used by honey makers to add a mild, sweet taste to their honey. Red clover contains vitamin A, vitamin C, B-complex, calcium, chromium, iron and magnesium. Red Clover has been used for over 100 years to purify the blood and relieve inflammation and coughing.

Red clover is best known as a blood purifier, expelling toxins from the bloodstream. It also cleans and improves the overall health of the liver and kidneys. Red clover also increases the production of mucus and urine flow helping relieve irritation and inflammation of the urinary tract.

As a digestive aid, red clover stimulates the production of digestive fluids and bile. It also relieves constipation and helps soothe inflammation of the bowel, stomach and intestines.

A good expectorant, red clover calms coughs related to bronchitis, whooping cough, dry cough and colds. It has been known to relieve sore throats as well.

Red clover's antispasmodic properties are a good sedative to relax muscle cramping and nervous exhaustion.

Furthermore, red clover's antibiotic properties are beneficial in the treatment of skin irritations and inflammations.
