Alfalfa probably originated in the Near East, and is now widely cultivated there and elsewhere around the world for forage. Arabs called it the ""father of herbs."" Alfalfa's roots grow as deep as 20 feet or more, providing the plant with a rich source of nutrients not always found at the ground's surface.
We use only the purest sources of Alfalfa for our herbal supplements, dried and ground to a fine powder. The plant's juice is used for Liquid Chlorophyll (16 oz. size) (32 oz. size).
Alfalfa is commonly used to alkalize and detoxify the body. It may help ease inflammation, balance hormones, and lower cholesterol. It has been used as a diuretic and to treat anemia and ulcers.
