GTF Chromium
Your Health Could Be Gone without a Trace

GTF Chromium is a trace mineral that plays a role in regulating blood sugar levels. Each "glucose tolerance factor" (GTF) molecule, a hormonelike compound, requires chromium as its central atom. GTF works with insulin to transport glucose from the blood into the cells. When this function is not working properly, the cells resist insulin and do not properly absorb the glucose needed for energy. The liver also needs chromium to manufacture fatty aids, lecithin, cholesterol, and lipoproteins. Without chromium, blood fats tend to rise because the liver cannot filter them out. Processing destroys much of the chromium content in foods.

Benefits

  • Helps balance blood sugar levels.
  • Aids in the control of glucose and fatty acids.
  • Promotes energy by helping transport glucose to cells.
  • Cuts down on the body’s need for insulin, which may result in improved arterial health.

Our Product Advantage
This chromium product is manufactured in 300 mcg tablets. It has been chelated with amino acids to increase absorption.

Ingredients
Each tablet contains 300 mcg of chromium amino acid chelate and chromium nicotinate in a base of horsetail herb, red clover tops, and yarrow flowers.

Recommendations
Take 1 tablet daily with a meal.

Complementary Products

     Nutritional:   Nopal (Prickly Pear) (400mg)
     Homeopathics:   Fatigue/Exhaustion, Nervousness
     Homeopathics:   Geranium, Eucalyptus BIO

How Does it Work?
Chromium is the central atom in the “glucose tolerance factor” (GTF), a hormone-like compound that works with insulin to transport glucose—the body’s quickest fuel—out of the blood and into the cells. GTF is composed of two niacin molecules and three amino acids, and it requires zinc and manganese. With chromium present in the diet, the intestines can produce GTF.

Scientific Data
The National Research Council reports that animal experiments have shown chromium to be necessary in order for mammals to maintain normal blood sugar, acting as a co-factor to insulin. The council goes on to say that juvenile diabetes and coronary artery disease are associated with low concentrations of chromium in the blood.
