Folic Acid Plus provides the body with 400 mcg of folic acid per tablet, with bee pollen and vitamin C. Folic acid, also known as vitamin B9, is essential for human health and vital for DNA duplication, RNA and the building of new tissues.

Folic acid is especially important for women of childbearing age, pregnant or nursing. Folic acid assists the enzymes responsible for DNA and RNA, genetic materials that control the growth and repair of all cells. Folic Acid Plus supports immune system function and healthy mucous membranes, nerves, hair, skin and nails.

Dietary sources of folic acid are liver, eggs, fish, yogurt, green leafy vegetables, beets, brewer's yeast, wheat germ, beans and avocado. Daily requirements for folic acid vary depending upon each individuals metabolism.

A result of a folic acid deficiency is anemia with symptoms such as headaches, fatigue and loss of appetite. Individuals susceptible to folic acid deficiencies may include people with gatrointestinal disease, alcoholics, women who are taking oral contraceptives and women who are pregnant and not taking necessary supplements.

Take 1-2 tablets daily with a meal.
